Sequoia Ramsey - President and CEO
Sequoia leads the team at RCI as a dedicated and focused entrepreneur. While matriculating at Hood College, Ms. Ramsey started a computer camp for homeless children that resulted in both a significant improvement in their grades and a new eagerness to learn. This program caught attention of local newspapers and local community organizations, and she began training adults and offering technical services to Hood College students. Her success inspired her to open her technical support business in 1997, where she provided technical support, training, and web support services to companies and organizations such as University of Maryland, Baltimore, Associated Black Charities of Maryland, National Association for Psychiatric Systems and the IRS Training Institute.
After graduating in Computer Science from Hood College (Frederick, MD), Sequoia founded Realistic Computing, Inc., (RCI) a comprehensive information technology company offering services and solutions that reflect her integrity and professionalism. In 2012, Sequoia was a recipient of the prestigious Enterprising Women of the Year award and remains engaged in local community service in various ways. She donates to the Community Action Network, Civic Works, Spectrum Services, and many other local charities and maintains and hosts and Annual Thanksgiving Bowl, in which the company supports a local non-profit organization. In addition, Sequoia is a member of the local branches of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, Enterprising Women Board Member, and the National Association of Women Business Owners. In her spare time, she golfs, and mentor’s youth interested in business and technology.
