EHR – Specialty EHR (Symphony Orchestra)
"Even after $30 billion in taxpayer money spent on funding the digitization of America's healthcare system, more than half of doctors view EHRs as having a negative impact on cost, efficiency and productivity."
Incredibly, there are hundreds of electronic medical record legacy systems out on the market today. There are the big players with recognizable names such as Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, NextGen, Athena, there are also countless smaller vendors, some of which provide customized EMR software solutions for specialists. Functionality varies greatly with each system: data entry can be inefficient and time-consuming for certain systems, but not others. Other functionality issues can include slow processing, formats that are not user-friendly, or limited capabilities. Most of these systems are highly proprietary and may not communicate well with each other. Enforcing a "one system fits all" approach leads to cumbersome and inadequate software solutions which hospitals and clinics are forcing upon providers. “Meaningful Use” criteria, mandated by the government, dictate the way patients are being treated and impede rather than help in the treatment process. Support for recent regulatory compliance modifications and coding repository updates are complex and costly. Physicians are concerned that current systems are interfering with physician-patient and physician-to-physician relationship. Providers often complain that EMRs interfere with clinical care, making interactions more impersonal and less face-to-face, while also degrading clinical documentation. In an environment with an overwhelming regulatory and compliance pressure, there is a concern that EMRs will heighten physician dissatisfaction and drive the cost up while degrading the quality of care.
eData Specialty EHR addresses most of the reported issues. Using healthcare providers as core matter expert contributors to the systems functional specifications and usability design, eData team was able to create a unique, scalable, cost effective, easy to use and intuitive EMR software solution, capable to solve issues currently impeding on improving the quality of care and reducing the cost of its operations.
eData team focused on enabling quick access to patient information for more coordinated yet efficient care making patient care as effective and efficient as possible. We refer to software solution as a tool that enhances operations and improve the quality of care. Ability to maximize digital transformation leads to proactive revision of patient state of health and real-time analysis of collected information.
